Love conceived of the Tastes Like Love book series in response to her great passion for human health, environmental sustainability, animal well-being, and food justice. A whole foods chef for over 50 years, Love is renowned for creating amazingly delicious and deeply nourishing foods. Her life’s purpose is inspiring transformational choices that promote wholeness and sustainability. She was motivated to write by her great love for the children of the world. Her vision for them is to live healthy lives on a habitable planet, two outcomes that will be well served by increasing human plant-eating and reducing or eliminating consumption of animal products.

Beth Love has been a member of Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) for many years. She is inspired by the organization’s prolific and extremely effective work to improve human health and animal well-being. PCRM was the recipient of all of the first-day royalties from the first edition of Sensational Salads to Cool the Earth. Love is also inspired by the nonprofit Eat for the Earth, which she founded in 2019. Eat for the Earth makes it easier for people to eat more plants and less animal products to sustain all life on Earth. Partial proceeds from the entire Tastes Like Love series are being donated to both of these organizations.
