At one time a century of life was relatively rare. That situation is changing as ever more individuals reach their 100th birthday. Concurrently, however, the incidence of adults with dementia is also increasing. Unfortunately, many of the individuals with this condition frequently are not afforded the opportunity to engage in purposeful physical activity on a regular basis. As a result, they don't experience the numerous mental, physical, and health-related benefits of exercise.
